:up: It's convenient to think of nasalization in digital terms (it's either on or off), but in reality it's an analogue thing - the nasal flap works on a continuum between fully open and fully closed; and /n/ (in normal speech, though not in a whisper) is voiced. The speaker of /æk'nɒlɪʤd/ turns on the voicing of the /n/ in a way that can affect the lack of voicing in /k/
