Do you confirm this description? (This one belongs to my colleague's notes)
Actual , Present or Current?
In fact this time we're gonna inspect the differernce for only 2 words here : Present & Current but the word "Actual" is a trap which is incorrectly used even by the natives to mean "existing or happening now" and this is wrong!
"Actual" means 'real' or 'exact' and is often used in contrast with sth that is not seen as real or exact:
e.g. : I need the actual figures not an estimate!
Present: Present means 'existing or happening now' :
e.g. : How long have you been in your present job ?
Current : It also means ' existing or happening now' ,BUT can suggest that the situation is TEMPORARY :
e.g. : The factory cannot continue its current level of production.
