"Perfectly fine" [STRIKE]was[/STRIKE] were Tarheel's words and I quoted [STRIKE]it[/STRIKE] them to show how questionable his point was. So I think "OK/correct/acceptable" [STRIKE]is[/STRIKE] would not be a good choice there.
That makes no difference. We still don't use them in the interrogative.
