Bearing in mind that J. Krishnamurti considered that peace of mind can't be achieved through effort, and desire to have that peace will only lead one to struggling and having restless mind, what phrase "and you will only have a piece" could mean in the quote below? Should I take it literally (and you will only have a bit of peace instead of total calmness) or it has other implication?

Meditation, attention and silence | J. Krishnamurti Extract from Public Talk #6, Madras (Chennai), India, 1979 (full text is available on youtube only, so I don't share the link)
Then the question is what is the quality of mind that is completely silent? Not how to achieve silence, how to have peace of mind. That is what you all want, a peace of mind, and you will only have a piece! (audience's laughter follows)

The laughter should clue you in to the fact that it's a play on words with peace/piece. The joke being that you will have only part (a piece) of your mind left.
