Hi all,
The other day I came across this nice word I've forgotten now! :-(
It was a British term referring to a person who goes to parties without being invited. I wonder if you could kindly tell me if there is any contemporary word for this! Ta!

Many thanks!

Gatecrasher.

Do they also say just "crasher"?

The verb crash is common. I have heard crasher used, but not often, but this might show my age rather than reflect on current usage.

The person is normally referred to as a gatecrasher using the full word, but the action is frequently referred to just as "crashing the party".

We wouldn't normally bother with "He gatecrashed the party", just "He crashed the party".
