Hello,

If I want to add a sentence at the end of mails to show my politeness, which one is better?
1. Your prompt reply is appreciated.
2. I appreciate your prompt reply.

Neither is more polite than the other in my opinion. But the active voice is generally to be preferred over the passive in writing, which gives the edge to 2. However, the tense in 2 can be improved: I would appreciate your prompt reply. It's a conditional, you see; a prompt reply may or may not be forthcoming despite your courteous request.
