My teacher asked me to rewrite a sentence: They/not find/cause/fire
I wrote: They still haven't found the cause of the fire.
But my teacher said it was incorrect and she gave me the answer:
They still haven't found out what caused the fire.
Which is correct? If my sentence is wrong, please correct it for me.
Thank you very much!

Your sentence is fine, so is your teacher's sentence.

Is "found" different from "found out" in the context of this sentence?

Thanks a lot!
