Fantastic line, but I think Venkman said that in the first movie, about the devil dog creature that was in the refrigerator. I am not 100% sure though.

If this is true, then Golden Syrup, black treacle and molasses are all types of [sugar cane] treacle.
To me, molasses is thicker and rawer than "black treacle". My uncle used to feed molasses to his dairy cows. I like black treacle, but this stuff tasted foul.
