When the word ‘too’ is used at the end of a sentence, there’s usually a ‘comma’ before it. I wonder if the ‘comma’ can be kept when ‘as well’ is used instead of ‘too’ like this.

The man can speak English, and he can speak French, as well.

Without the comma, it would mean he speaks French as well as he speaks English.
 
There usually isn't these days. . . .
American English is more comma-prone than British. I think the comma before too is more popular here.

Let's see what other Americans think.

I have never been in the habit of doing that. (I guess I missed class the day they told people to use commas that way. ;-) )

You will save time if you omit the comma.
