Do you say I am ready to play the match or for playing the match?

I am geting ready to work or for working?

Hello!

For the first sentence, you would say “I am ready to play the match.”

For the second sentence, you would say “I am getting ready to work.”

If you are in the process of having a shower and getting dressed, you can say "I am getting ready for work".
