As someone who has experienced products of the French system, and who taught for 25 years in the English system, I am not sure that I would agree with you. However, as you say, this is not the place to discuss it. :-(In many ways (I say this from experience as a teacher and a parent of a student) the English education system is far superior to that in France. I'll say no more because this is not the place to do so.

I have no idea, but I am sure that it would not have bothered him if he did.Did the famous Irish poet realize that the term might offend people in England?
