Tim's class mates bullied him and called him names. It means they called him by different names to mock him. Am I correct?

Yes. "Classmates" is written as one word.

It means they called him by different names to mock him.
Think of poor Rudolph in the popular Christmas song "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer."

"All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh and call him names
.
They never let poor Rudolph
Join in any reindeer games."

One can imagine the other reindeer saying things like "Hey, Red-Nose!" to Rudolph. I'm also reminded of your infamous "fat face" thread, tufguy.

Haha fat face. This word makes me laugh. That was just a thread. I don't say these things to others. That thread was about kids.

The expression call someone names doesn't have to mean calling someone several different names. Although the word names is in plural, the phrase still works if there's just one name.
