Can I say "his face flushed red with anger" ?
I saw this sentence somewhere.
Does it imply "flush" is a linking verb and red is the adj. which is the complement of the subject "his face" ?

No. It simply means he was so angry his face got red. And by the way you can omit the "red". "He flushed" means his face turned red.

We don't usually use "flushed red" because turning red is a meaning of "flush'.
