[Grammar] Can i use "the" before street names?

Can i use "the" before street names? I mean is it right to say "I live in the wall street"
 
No, though there are a few streets/roads in England that have the definite article for some reason. The Kings Road in Chelsea is one of these.
 
And keep in mind that we normally don't use "the" before proper names.
 
Yeah! Thanks! And just to clarify, I live in/on 4th street. Which of these forms is correct?
 
Both are right in this sense. As far as I know, "on" is preferred in American English.
