[Grammar] Can " most " be used as an adverb ?

As topic I post, Can We use it as adverb ?
This morning, I saw the phrase " This task is most important "
In this phrase, the word " most " in front of a adjective " important " and after " tobe ", I don't think this sentence is superlative, so I think it's a adverb, don't I ?
