[Vocabulary] "Can you make it" in the sense of "when"

Hi there,

I know this is common in UK, I would like to know if it's also used in US to use "can you make it" in the sense of "when".

e.g.

"We're meeting tomorrow afternoon. Can you make it?"

Moreover, is it OK say "when can you make it?"

They both work in AmE.
