Hello,

I am trying to express how long I have been preparing for a residency program using the pyramid analogy but I am not sure if it makes sense in English?

"how far I have come and now it is the time to show how much effort I am willing to exert to reach my ultimate goal, that I have been looking upwards to the top from the base of the pyramid since my 2nd year in the university, of becoming a pharmacy resident."

Two things. One, you need to rework that sentence. It doesn't make much sense as it is. Two, in my humble opinion the pyramid analogy doesn't work well. You might use a ladder analogy instead. The more progress you make the higher you climb the ladder.

You can only guess whether this 'pyramid analogy' makes sense to your reader. It didn't make sense to me.

No. It does not make sense. Please give us the question/point you are responding to, and try to say what you want to say in plain English. Focus on substance and avoid waffle as much as possible.
