Please check the following sentences.
Which is better?
Is #3 acceptable?

(1) There, in the showcase were displayed various kinds of robot dogs which came into Jilly's notice.
(2) There, in the showcase were displayed verious kinds of robot dogs which caught Jilly's eye.
(3) There, in the showcase were displayed various kinds of robot dogs which attracted Jilly.

(2) There, in the showcase were displayed verious kinds of robot dogs which caught Jilly's eye.
(3) There, in the showcase were displayed various kinds of robot dogs which attracted Jilly.

#'s 2 & 3 are fine. The phrase in#1, although understandable, would not be used in that way.
