What are the differences between catch phrase and pet phrase?

Thank you.

My pet phrase in this site seems to be, "Context is important" :-(. Nobody would call that a catch phrase.

A catchphrase is a slogan, or a saying, or a quotation, even a motto. It is a phrase in wide or popular use, especially one serving as a slogan for a group or movement.
"Ban the Bomb" was a popular catchphrase in the 1960's anti-nuclear movement.

A pet phrase is a phrase that an individual uses repetitively.
