Changing my flight to another date. I say:

Can you please find a flight that will allow me to not pay a flight difference fee.

Can this be said?
 
That's really a very awkward sentence. "Can you find a flight that will not require an additional fee?"
 
Yes, it sounds awkward, but is it wrong or makes no sense?
 
What is the difference? Rique provided a better alternative.
 
Just so I know if I said it wrong so next time I know now to use it.
 
Okay, so...
If you hear us say "that's really awkward and here's a better way to say it" does it really MATTER if it's "completely wrong" or "just not the way any native speaker would say it"?
