Which of these two sentences are correctly spelled? I'm not sure about the use of the preposition "of" or if it's required.

1. Check to see if the minimum Excel version requirement is met.
2. Check to see if the minimum version requirement of Excel is met.

I'm talking about the computer application Excel.
 
Check [that] you're running a suitable/an appropriate version of Excel.
 
Thank you. I wanted to keep the word met. Is there anything wrong in using "Check to see"?
 
Either sentence is fine.
