"Whether that person is you or someone else, I don't know."

Is the comma after "else" correct? I don't think there should be a comma there.

If I were to write the question in that way, I would use a comma.
 
I too would write a comma, but I don't want to say its absence is wrong. When you say that sentence aloud, do you pause just before saying "I don't know"? If you do, put in the comma. If not... it's up to you, although the more words follow "someone else", the easier the comma makes it to distinguish the clauses of the sentence.

I don't. I should have written 'sentence'. I must have had in mind that a question was being asked about the sentence. Thanks for pointing it out.
