Congratulations! You have finished Chapter 2. Let's continue ______ Chapter 3.
(A) studying (B) to study
Yan Sihua, a Taiwanese teacher of English, thinks that only option B is acceptable.
Which option do native speakers think is correct?

Yan Sihua, a Taiwanese teacher of English?
This person has already been shown to be unreliable. I don't know why you don't just ignore them.

A and B are incorrect. You have not yet begun to study (or studying) chapter 3 so you can't continue to do so.

Danny continues to talk during English class.
= Danny continues talking during English class.
She continued to work after she had her baby.
= She continued working after she had her baby.
They will continue to improve their skills.
= They will continue improving their skills.

Are they really interchangeable?

The article you linked us to says rather confusingly (Google translated version): There is not much difference in the literal meaning. For native English speakers, there is no difference between the two . Which one to use is often based on the situation or preference at the time. Even using a dictionary, it is difficult to explain the two. The clear division is often related to the sense of language.
