Could you explain me the words of the song "Shape of my heart" by Sting: "...he doesn't play for the money he wins, he don't play for respect..." I mean why he don't? Thank you.

Could you explain (to me) the words of the song "Shape of my heart" by Sting: "...he doesn't play for the money he wins, he don't play for respect..." I mean why he don't? Thank you.
Welcome to the forum, N-V-M, :hi:

Please try to give your threads titles that give us some idea of what the thread is about. "He don't play - Correct?" would have been good for this.

Do not try to understand the grammar of song lyrics. Writers often choose words simply for the sound or rhythm. Grammatically, 'he don't play' is incorrect. Nobody worries in song lyrics.
