Hi,

I was watching a movie. a guy was talking about when he was in university and said "No one ever had a cushier berth than we did".

I looked up on a dictionary for "cushy" and "berth";

cushy; soft and comfortable, easy and profitable.
berth; a job; position.

Was he saying that he and his friends were having a happier life than the other students? Or it means he was at the best when he was in uni?

A comfortable position - they don't have to work to earn a living, someone provides food, they have a room in which to live.
