Diary - I just finished reading Stolen Tongues

I just finished reading Stolen Tongues by Felix Blackwell. The story follows a couple Faye and Felix on their honeymoon in a cabin on a snow mountain. At night, they hear creepy sounds and voices from the outside. In the wee hours, Faye starts to sleepwalk and talk to somebody in her dream. They later find out that something is following Faye, even when they've gone back home. The scariest part is that the crafty thing is able to lure them out of their house by mimicking their loved ones' voices. I used to love living in a cabin or tree house, but after I've read so many stories, I don't want to live in those kind of places. Bad signals, unstable electricity and unknown creatures around me are disturbing. Just stay at home or hotels and watch other people go adventure. My life is above all.

Bad signals (omens), unstable electricity and unknown creatures around me are disturbing. I'd rather just stay at home or hotels and watch other people go seek adventure. My life is above all (well-being is paramount).

I used to love living staying in a cabin or tree house, but after I've reading so many similar stories, I don't want to live stay in those kind of places them anymore. Having bad phone signals, unstable an unreliable electricity supply and unknown weird creatures around me are would be disturbing. I'd prefer to/I'd rather just stay at home or in hotels and watch other people go off on adventures. I value my life is above all.

I don't see how the three things would be a threat to your life.

I don't see how the three things would be a threat to your life.

In terms of bad phone signals, if I got sick and needed help, I couldn’t call people to help me. In terms of unstable electricity supply, if I was stuck by snow, I would be freeze to death. Strong animals might break in and eat me. Imagine staying in a tree house and all of that happens at the same time, it would be scary.

In terms of bad phone signals, if I got sick and needed help, I couldn’t call people to help me for help. In terms of an unstable unreliable electricity supply, if I was stuck trapped by snow, I would be freeze to death. Strong Vicious wild animals might break in and eat me. Imagine staying in a tree house and all of that happens happening at the same time. It would be scary.

I think the only place all three of those things would happen at the same time would be in a very poor horror film!
