Hello. I need to describe a panel on the elevator.

A panel shows current cabin position and direction of future trips.

I'm not sure that 'direction of future trips' sounds good. What option is better to use? If you have another option, please share it.

A panel with an indicator of the current cabin position and the next floors direction of future trips/next stops and the minimum necessary set of buttons (closing/opening doors, calling the dispatcher, etc.).

Thank you.

We don't take "trips" in elevators. I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do. Are you describing all the buttons on an elevator panel or just the buttons that are currently illuminated?

I saw an elevator like this on Sunday in a hospital. Otherwise, I would be confused as well.

You use a touch screen in the lobby to indicate where you want to go. It then directs you to elevator A or B or whatever. Say you want to go to 9.

You go into the elevator you were directed to, and there is just a screen where you would expect all the buttons for the floors. It has 9 lit up.

The only physical buttons are for open/close and help.

I'm describing a floor position indicator, which shows what stops will be the next.
I need to choose what option is better to use (direction of future trips/next stops).
For example, you are on the 2nd floor now, an elevator will go to the 7th floor then (a picture is attached).
How can I describe it?
Does it show direction of future trips/next stops?

The panel shows an arrow indicating whether the elevator's going up or down and the number of the floor that the elevator will stop on next.

... position and direction (of travel)

A panel shows current cabin position and direction of future trips.

How about " a control panel which shows/tracks the position and intended direction of the cabin/lift car?

The information is also shown on the panel when the elevator/lift is stationary.
