Do you call the red object with the flanges a spool in American English?

This red object has self-adhesive bandage wrapped around it, making the storage of the self-adhesive bandage easy. Whenever someone needs a self-adhesive bandage, they can just cut a piece off and put it over the cut, abrasion,etc.

???? Is it a spool or not? I didn't include that information to be condescending or anything like that. I wasn't sure whether you guys had Band-Aid on those spool-like objects in the US so I thought it might be necessary to include that information.
 
There was no question in the OP.

I would call it a "spool" if I had to refer to it.
