Which tenses will be correct? Does John smoke? - He used to. But now he never touches a cigarette. He gradually becomes/is becoming quite fit. This watch generally keeps perfect time, but these days it doesn't work/isn't working properly.

1. Does John smoke? No hyphen here. He used to no full stop here but now he never touches a cigarette. He gradually becomes/is becoming quite fit.

@Winnie1122 Your previous reply, all written in Russian, has been deleted. You need to translate the book title etc into English.
