As a Turkish learner, I've already been studying "Question Tags" subject and i saw an explanation about this subject.
"Mightn't word using doesn't allow in English"
so i've researched ( I asked to GPT ) and gpt said shortly :
This using allowed in English but mayn't didn't. In english, using mightn't instead of may not. Might is tag of the May modal.
So i've puzzled. So I wonder if a native english speaker might help me?

This is an example of this subject :
is "They may be late, Mayn't they?" sentence true?

You will find “mayn’t” and “mightn’t” in dictionaries but these contractions are rarely used in modern AmE or BrE and are considered old-fashioned.

I use "mightn't".

Cathy, to me and a friend (Helen): Are you two going to the pagan fair on Saturday?
Me (looking at Helen): We might, mightn't we? We'll probably decide on Saturday morning.

I use mightn't too, in exactly the same way as emsr2d2, and it's not old-fashioned to us. Still, I strongly agree with SoothingDave that the OP should not use it.

Where exactly did you see this completely incorrect sentence? I don't mean the content - I mean that the sentence itself is grammatically terrible!
I wrote it myself. I tried to see how much I could write without using a translation or if I could express my thoughts :) but I didn't copy in GPT. I wrote it based on GPT.

I extend my warmest greetings and thanks to everyone who responded. I understand that it exists in British usage, but even though it's in the dictionary, it doesn't exist in everyday American usage. Thank you very much. SoothingDave amigos4 emsr2d2 and Jutfrank
