Dear Friends. Would you rather say:

1. My driving licence expires on the 25th of June.
or
2. My driving licence will expire on the 25th of June.

Is there any preference in this case?
Thanks a lot.

I’d use #1.

Ok. I feel the same, but is there any particular grammatical rule which indicates the first one? Or is this just a matter of practice/style/usage?

1. is better if you're just stating a simple fact about when your licence expires. You can use 2 if you mean to talk about the future.
