Are all of these pronoun dummy 'it'?

The use of computers has made it possible for more people to work from home.
Over 80,000 people attended, making it the biggest sporting event in the area.
The president has made it clear that he is not going to change his mind.
Some people like modern shopping centers because everything is under a roof and it is convenient.

Can we write the last sentence in this way?
Some people like modern shopping centers because everything is under a roof and it is convenient to do shopping there.

Yes.

No, "it" refers to "event".

The president has m
ade it clear that he is not going to change his mind.

Yes.

Some people like modern shopping centers because everything is under a roof and it is convenient.

That sentence doesn't sound natural. Change "a roof" to "one roof" and "it is" to "they are".

Yes, "it" is a dummy in that sentence. Change "to do shopping there" to "to shop there."

You are right teacher. It was my mistake. In my book it is "one roof" instead of "a roof".
But in the book the last sentence is " it is convenience." and I don't know why? Is it wrong if we use " it is "?

Change "to do shopping there" to "to shop there."
Could you please explain why? Is "do shopping" wrong? because we can use verb after "to" . "it is convenient to do something".

I think you meant "convenient". In any case, and to lessen the confusion, please quote that sentence again, and tell me what you don't understand.

No, "to do shopping there" is not wrong, but "to shop there" is more natural.

Thanks teacher.
This is what written in my book:
"Some people like modern shopping centers because everything is under one roof and it is convenient."
Now, you said that it is wrong to use "it is convenient" and it is right to use "They are convenient".
So in this sentence "it is convenient" , "it" refers to what?

What book?

Always tell us the source and author of any text you quote in post #1 - not #5.

Sure teacher.

I still think it's wrong. I suppose "it" is intended to refer to shopping in modern shopping centers or there's an implied (but omitted) "to shop there" at the end, in which latter case, "it" would be a dummy.
