There seems to be an error in the following sentence.

People use digital electronic devices widely in their daily life, surfing the Internet for useful information, dealing with e-commerce and e-stock, or using e-mail.

Where do you see an error there?

Did somebody tell you there was an error there?

Should it add 'such as' or 'like' before 'surfing the Internet...'?

People use digital electronic devices widely in their daily life, such as surfing the Internet for useful information, dealing with e-commerce and e-stock, or using e-mail.

The sentence would be more correct with a colon or a dash instead of a comma after 'life', as what follows is a list of ways in which people use digital electronic devices.

1. People use digital electronic devices widely in their daily life:surfing the Internet for useful information, dealing with e-commerce and e-stock, or using e-mail.

2.
People use digital electronic devices widely in their daily lifesurfing the Internet for useful information, dealing with e-commerce and e-stock, or using e-mail.

I prefer the colon. There should be no space before the colon.

There should be no space before the colon.
There is actually no any empty space before the colon in the OP's sentence. It is just a colon in Chinese style which occupies more space. See below.

A Chinese colon
An English colon:

Not a teacher.

I am not a teacher.

That's an interesting piece of information, Matthew.

The way the sentence is displayed on my computer screen, I don't even see a space before the colon.
