a thief ran really fast, hoping no one could catch him. The detective just suddenly appeared in front of me from nowhere and said, "no bad guys can escape me!"

is escape me correct?

Your use of 'escape me' is correct, but you have errors with capitalization, antecedent agreement, and possibly article choice.

Why is the detective appearing in front of you, instead of the thief? Shouldn't the detective be talking to the thief he's about to catch, instead of taking the time to talk to you?

@theol You use "suddenly" correctly, but the rest of that sentence is a mess.
