Is "even" correct? What is surprising in these words?

... except a general expectation of common sense. I have no knowledge of these games, but my understading is that sometimes they involved activities that didn't make a lot of sense - as, for example, in an early release of Facebook that allowed one to throw a sheep at a friend. One wondered 'Why?'

I think I have found the reason why "even" and "though" have same meaning in my native language. They're same but mean different.
