It appears to be missing tense.We exit (from) the FA Cup.
My side got a real hiding and couldn't make it through to the next round. In this context, do I need the word "from" with the verb "exit" to mean my side are dumped out of the competion?Is this your own sentence? Can you provide the context with which you want to use it?
