[Essay] Fast food

How long should be introduction for essay ? I have never written one before please help me. Thank you !

I'm not sure what your title "fast food" has to do with your question.

Without meaning to sound flippant, an introduction needs to be as long as it takes to meet its purpose, and no longer.

Write your introduction LAST. After you're written your paper, write your introduction in a way that will hint at what you'll cover and catch the reader's attention.

Barb's advice is excellent - write your introduction last! I write for a living, and in the early days I remember getting "stuck" at that opening sentence/paragraph. While fretting over what to write, I'd forget all the great Ideas I had for the rest of the article. :-? So work on the body of your essay first, then re-read it and decide the best way to introduce it. Sometimes one sentence is enough, sometimes you'll need a brief paragraph.
