Hi everyone,

Is is true that for countable nouns we should either add an article "a/an/the" or change it to plural form?
Which of the following sentences is/are correct?

1. Fish ball is a street snack in Hong Kong.
2. Fish balls are a street snack in Hong Kong.
3. A fish ball is a street snack in Hong Kong.
4. The fish ball a street snack in Hong Kong.

Thank you!

I assume that you buy and eat several of these delicacies at a time. If so, only #2 is natural.
