Fledgling vs Fledging

Dear Teachers

Actually, I asked this question before. But today, I saw in Merriam-Webster (below link and attached image) that the "ing" form of Fledge is "Fledging". I would like to seek you advice if it is a typo mistake, or just another form of fledgling.

"Fledgling" is a noun. A fledgling is a bird that has just fledged.

"Fledging" is the -ing form of the verb "fledge".
 
A fledgling is often a fledgeling in BrE.
