for when I'm allowed up

Hi

A woman lying in bed in hospital says to the nurse:

I should like some of my clothes. For when I am allowed up.

Does it mean I want some of my clothes for when I'm allowed to get up and go home or just when I'm allowed to get out of bed and stay in hospital?

If he had wanted to convey the meaning of for when I'm allowed to get up and go home, he would probably have said, "I should like some of my clothes. For when I am allowed out/home."
