Yes, sometimes he was at home but not all the time. Did you mean this?

Is it really worth commenting on the fact that someone has been at home sometimes but not all the time? That's normal behaviour for most people. It would be worth commenting on if, for example, he was fired six weeks ago, went home, and hasn't left the house since then.

No, I don't. "One time" or "at some time" doesn't not mean sometimes. I don't think I can explain any further. OK, one last try:
We are looking for the meaning of "At some time".

Let's say you walk into a room. You smell a goat, but there is no goat there. You say "At some time there has been a goat in this room." That is all you can infer. You are not saying that sometimes there was goat there, and sometimes not.
