Hi,

Background:
I didn’t know that I am good at cooking before.
One day, my girlfriend told me to cook some food.
Then, I found that I am good at cooking.

Question:
1) Can I say the following sentence?
2) should I use “from”?
3) should I use present tense or past tense?

Sentence
From this experience, I understand that I am good at cooking.

***NOT A TEACHER***Maybe something like: (1) From this experience, I learned that I am good at cooking. (2) (Better?) This experience showed me (that) I am pretty good at cooking/ that I actually cook quite well.
