Infinitive
"I planned to go to Singapore last week"

Gerund

"I planned going to Singapore last week"

I've seen the verbs those change the meaning of Gerund and Infinitive but "plan" is not included. Do Gerund and Infinitive of "plan" have same meaning?

Hello, Checkmate:

1. I am 99% confident that "I went to go to Singapore last week" is incorrect.
2. I am 99% confident that "I went going to Singapore last week" is incorrect.

3. My books tell me that an infinitive follows "plan":

a. "I plan to go to Singapore next week."
b. "I planned to go to Singapore last week, but I didn't go."

4. I do NOT know whether most native speakers accept "I plan going to Singapore next week."

a. My books tell me that "I plan on going to Singapore next week" is fine.

I made a mistake in typing "went" instead of "planned"
