"get off school" correct?

Teachers:

When you are done with work, you get off work.
When you are done with school, do native speakers say "you get off school"?
If not, what do they say?

I don't. I don't think I've ever heard that.

COCA has over 100 citations for get/got off work, but only two for get/got off school. Like Gillnetter, I'd say get out of school.

I wouldn't say it either, but if I heard someone use it, it wouldn't sound wrong.

Do you mean at the end of the school day, or when you turn eighteen and no longer have to go to school? I wouldn't use "get off" for either of those. The only situation where I would use it might be "He got off school on Thursday by pretending he was sick" but many people would use "He got out of school ..." meaning "He got out of attending school all day on Thursday ..."
