A man tries to run away from a guy who wants to harm him. After a long chase the man loses the guy and stops to catch his breath. But suddenly the guy stands behind him.
Guy: Did you really think you could get rid of me so/that easily?
Are 'so' and 'that' interchangeable here? Or is one of them more natural/appropriate to use in this context?
