Jane: Children nowadays need to learn coding.
Peter: Wow. Is it difficult? Would you like to learn it?
Jane: I don’t know but I’m happy to get a taste of it.
Peter: Would you go deep into coding?
Jane: No, I don’t like programming or computer science.

Is it okay to say “Would you go deep into coding”? Jane doesn’t want to study coding in depth.

Yes, but not necessarily considering enrolling on a course. Maybe she buys a book or self teaching to reach an intermediate level.

It’s because someone asked me about coding and I want to ask her about the question. I don’t know if “go deep” is correct phrase.

When I was that age we didn't know what coding was. We didn't even know what computers were.
