Auto Spell Check AI, and listening to grammar from family, friends, and coworkers, has lead me to be believe that either sentence structure has changed and I am behind the eight ball, or grammar has slipped, similarly to how society does not correctly use the words I, me, and myself anymore. Here is an example of what I keep seeing and hearing. Example: "I do not know who is your new POC." Spell check tells me that it should read "I do not know who your new POC is." I also used "will be" in place of "is" and the same thing happened, spell check tells me that "will be" should go at the end. This is how I was taught in HS and in college English Comp I and II. Was I taught wrong, or has it changed and I need a refresher course? Thank you.

Welcome to the forum.

Here’s a short answer to a long question:

You were taught correctly and your spellcheck is right.

Your spellchecker didn't pick up the misspelling of the present perfect form of "lead".
