Hello,

*self-made*

Friend: Where have you been?

Me: I have been feeding the chickens.

I would like to ask if it is OK to use 'have been feeding' or should I use 'I was feeding the chickens'?

Thanks.

Both are acceptable, but because it is recent, the present perfect is better.

In casual conversation, I'd just say 'Feeding the chickens'.

Can I say that "the chickens were very huge size than before, because they have been feded by me"?

No. "Very huge size" is tautologous and ungrammatical. The present perfect of "to feed" is not "have been feded".

What about this now?
"the chickens were very bigger than before, because I have been to feed them"?

The chickens were bigger because I fed them.
