I met a 10-year-old girl whose English is fluent today. I asked her a question "Have you been to any foreign countries?".

Is the italic sentence natural?

Yes. Your sentence is natural. You could also say,"Have you visited any foreign countries?"

Today, I met a 10-year-old girl whose English is fluent. [STRIKE]today.[/STRIKE] I asked her [STRIKE]a[/STRIKE] the following question:

"Have you been to any foreign countries?"
no full stop here

Is the italic sentence natural?

Note my changes above. I have changed the word order in the opening sentence to avoid the possibility of someone thinking that the girl is fluent in English only today, but not on any other day.

When you quote a question, the question mark serves as the closing punctuation mark. Don't put a full stop after the closing quotation marks.

I prefer abroad as any other country is foreign.

True, but whether you call it abroad or to a foreign country, you've visited a country other than the one you normally live in (or, at least, the one you were living in when the question was asked).

Unless you're suspected of spying, abroad still works better for me.
