When is this homework due?

If this were homework, I would ask my teacher.
I found these sentences in an online test that let me know my points only. I write down these sentences because I'm not sure. I can't find the answers any where so I am here to ask you. I don't trust anyone but native English speakers. Help me please!

1. D.

2. I don't like any of the answers. I would use "because" or "since" or maybe "as".

3. "Hard" doesn't work. I would choose "like".

Ron, the second sentence is a comma splice.

Class, Mike called my attention to an error in my post, and my initial reaction was: "What! What do you mean? I don't make that kind of mistake." ;-) Then I noticed that the error was in the original sentence by the OP, and to fix the comma splice I could do one of two things. I picked one. What was the other possibility? (Extra marks for the one who gets it right. ;-))
